This CE webinar shows how to apply Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) and Potassium Iodide (KI) to turn dental caries into a non staining, protective base beneath a restoration. Restoring single surface occlusal or proximal caries with auto cure glass ionomer cement and multiple surface lesions with a GIC/composite resin “sandwich” restoration.
Upon completion of the CE webinar, participants will • understand the clinical science behind SDF and KI • discover a straight forward clinical protocol for producing efficient and predictable non staining restorations using auto cure GIC or a GIC/composite resin “sandwich” over SDF/KI treated caries • see several case studies showing how effective and efficient this treatment is on large asymptomatic lesions, healing the caries to create a long term esthetic outcome with minimal tissue removal required
